Nailing It This Spring

The new Spring season is here (*happy dance*) and as well as refreshing my wardrobe, I'm also giving my nail polish collection that Spring clean and revamp! In this post I'll be chatting about a few of my polish picks that I plan on wearing this time around.

The Favourite One
An undeniable favourite shade for Spring and Summer has to be Green Berry by Barry M. I feel this colour has almost a sentimental attachment for me... (ok so we're getting down to an emotional level about nail polish - what is life?). But seriously, just looking it this colour kinda makes me smile and brings back memories of fun in the sun from the last couple of summers. If you've tried the Gelly Hi Shine range before, I'm sure you'll already be swayed by the super thick and glossy formula that leaves nails looking tiptop with little need for that top coat. Green Berry is a wonderfully striking shade of turquoise and one which you'll spot me wearing almost every time the sun shining!

The Most-Worn One
It's rare for me to stray away for my comfort zone (blues and greens) when it comes to nail polishes, but this vibrant lilac shade was a winner from the get-go. I grabbed this miracle in a bottle from Floss Gloss in the shade '95% Angel' from a sample sale whilst interning at Nylon Magazine in New York and to be honest, it has barely left my nails since - if you follow me on Instagram you will know this very well! I think it's a really unusual shade and unlike anything I've ever really seen before when scouring the make-up aisles. Although I've been wearing this polish in Autumn & Winter, the refreshing pastel vibes also makes it a favourite for the Springtime. Although Floss Gloss only stock at a small number of retailers in the UK, I'm already thinking of adding the colours WetWavepool and Glowstar to my ever-growing collection of polishes.

The High-End One
If you're a luxury beauty fanatic, YSL in Bleu Majorelle may just be the shade for you this Spring. I received this amazing cobalt blue colour as part of a leaving gift from my internship at Karen Millen last year and I'm so glad the girls picked this one out for me! Retailing at £18.50, this nails polish from YSL is certainly on the pricey side, so not something I would have necessarily invested in myself, but a beautiful colour all the same. The high quality formula makes this polish super long-lasting and is a bold statement colour for the days when pastel shades just aren't cutting it. Plus... of course the packaging is so so dreamy!
Which nail polishes will you be wearing this Spring? I'd love to hear your recommendations in the comments below!
