Helloo London: Shoreditch

Shoreditch, Shoreditch, Shoreditch. The buzzword on London's lips and somewhere I'm always taking my friends from outta town.   The once widely claimed "hipster" capital of London, this trendy district is a hub of quirky cafes, experience restaurants, fun spaces and most importantly... a great 5am bagel (or beigel for you locals). A stone's throw from Liverpool St and wedged between the equally cool Spitalfields and Hoxton, Shoreditch has a lot going on at every hour of the day and is a MUST when visiting the city.
If you're visiting London, Shoreditch is a great place to stay. Connections around the capital are quick, plus everything you could want is right on your doorstep - including a bed to roll into after a boozy night on the town! I often get asked by you guys about where to stay in London and the truth is, I often don't know where to recommend. But a couple of weekends ago, I was invited to stay at Citizen M's boutique hotel in the area and I couldn't fault it! As well as great city views and a killer breakfast in the morning, Citizen M is kitted out with super king size beds (no really they are huge!).
Shoreditch has pop-ups popping up from its every corner and is bustling with young creatives. Summer is all about rooftops beverages, outdoor cinema and getting a sunrise breakfast at Duck & Waffle (go on, you HAVE to do it!). My favourite bars include The Golden Bee, The Hoxton Hotel (great ambiance and awesome food too!) and the good old Queen of Hoxton. This magical place transforms from the East's best rooftop in summer to a cosy hangout in the winter. Serving heartwarming food and drinks with a seasonal twist, this year the rooftop is known as Skye Halle and is themed around a Viking Festival - you gotta check it out!
I couldn't write a post out about the Shoreditch without mentioning Dinerama. London's street food appetite has gotten BIG over the last couple of years with markets dedicated to the love small dens and paper tray food. Dinerema is Shoreditch's resident street food go-to where you can snap up some fabulous duck fat fries (seriously they're amazing!) or eat obscure ice-cream until your hearts content!  Plus this place gets a little rowdy on a Friday and Saturday night - a must visit!

Let me know if you'll be heading to Shoreditch anytime soon and feel free to add your recommendations in the comments below!
