Kick Flare

So when it comes to the British Summertime, I'm always full of great expectation and the optimist in me likes to think  I can spend my days in pretty dresses and denim shorts. Realistically however, London has been pretty dull and rainy over the last few weeks leading me to dig out some non-seasonal pieces from my wardrobe. If you're a long-term follower of my blog, this might be a pretty groundbreaking outfit.. I'm wearing blue jeans. For like the first time ever. Or at least since I learnt to dress myself! I don't know what it is, but I feel like they've never suited my style, but since grabbing this super 70s inspired pair of kick flares, I think my mind might have changed. Its refreshing dressing a little out of my comfort zone, even though blue jeans are typically well within everyone else's comfort zone - but hey thats just me! I really like the retro style, their flattering shape and the fun flare - I might even need to invest in a light denim wash too!
In other news, it was this week that I found out the news that I've been awarded First Class Honours in my BA degree in Fashion Management! I couldn't be happier to be graduating with a First and even though I was working a few days a week, blogging and going through some personal struggles whilst in my final year of university, it just goes to show that hard work really does pay off and anything is possible when you put your mind to it!
