Soul Of The Seventies

If there is one era I wish I'd lived in, it would have to be the 1970s. A time of flower power, feminist movements and when style icons such as Farrah Fawcett, Susan Dey and Jane Birkin ruled the world. Fast forward 40 years and the best of the seventies fashion has been given a modern update. I'm always one for adding a vintage vibe to an outfit and the 1970s trend incorporates a lot of my favourite styles including flares (rocking the bell sleeve with this playsuit!), crochet and suede. I love the effortless bohemian vibe that you can achieve by throwing on what your Mother would wear when she was a teenager, mixed in with a cool novelty piece such as this fluffy bag! When I saw this playsuit on the ASOS website, it was, for sure, love at first click. The free-flowing fit and the beautiful print is everything is all I need for my summer staple and those mid-summer evenings.
I'll be honest when I say, these tan lace-up sandals aren't the comfiest shoes I've ever worn, but they don't fail at fabulous! I'm sure with a few more wears I'll have broken them in properly and be pairing them with many more outfits!
I'm off to Paris on Friday - for the first time ever! If anyone has any recommendations for places to eat or visit feel free to let me know in the comments below or tweet me @helloomonica!
