Chelsea Charm

Nails, OPI in Tickle My France

Photography by Josh Gooding

I could wander all day admiring the beautiful townhouses and perfect little streets of Chelsea in West London. I'm still dreaming of owning a house in Holland Park when I'm older… One day!
My look this week consists of this beautifully detailed blue embellished playsuit from River Island. I actually bought this back in November and wore it when I went to the British Fashion Awards last month. I was drawn to the sequins and floral pattern straight away and I think its quite an unusual yet amazing piece to own.
I was not planning on buying into the fluffy knit trend this winter, but low and behold I caved… badly. I spotted this cream cardigan in H&M last week and loved it so much I bought it in black too. Although quite pricey for H&M at £34.99, I'm hoping I'll get a lot of wear out of the them in the transitional period from winter to spring.
This friendly builder jumped into my photo when shooting last week, little does he know he made it onto my blog haha!

So it's back to reality for me this past week. Having had a lovely break over the festive period, settling back in at university (and learning to write the year 2014) has been a struggling routine alongside getting back into the swing of London life. Although I love it, my life in London is so different to my life back home in Yorkshire. This city is so fast-paced, which I find really motivating and I find myself making constant to-do lists and power-walking everywhere I go. It was nice to take some time out of my schedule to go for a wander in Regent's Park one sunny afternoon in my favourite new outfit from Oasis.
The main thing I love about Oasis, is that not many people my age shop there. Working in store part-time means I see the clothes in a different way and makes it difficult for me not to make a cheeky purchase from time to time. The first of which I'm going to fully justify… The leopard print coat. A self-confessed print obsessive (see such looks as the Tapestry coat), I have little restrain when finding a pattern that has me at helloo - pardon the pun. I had been debating whether to buy this beauty when it was full price (£110), although did I really need ANOTHER coat? Following the Christmas sales however, I spotted this very coat at a mere £40 (even less with my staff discount!) in my size on the rail and my mind was made up. Sorry, not sorry.
I've also been loving this blue leather pencil skirt lately. I think the dark blue leather makes it a little different from the usual leather skirts and the zips add a edgy point of interest. I'll be wearing this with crop tops and oversized sunglasses before long… hurry up Spring!

Embellished Playsuit

Happy New Year! I've been a busy bee over the festive period this year so sorry for the brief blogging hiatus! Between going out with my best pals and spending time with my family, I've had a great time back at home in Whitby. I wore this outfit when going out on Boxing Day and could not wait to share it on here! Missguided are killing it lately and I was lucky enough to receive this beautifully embellished playsuit in the post recently. I have a minor (okay.. major) obsession with embellishments and I think almost every outfit I've worn over Christmas has been adorned with a sequin or gem - I just love a bit of sparkle! Paired with sky high platforms, a holographic clutch and my favourite winter coat - all set!
