Monochromatic

PU leather dress, c/o In Love With Fashion
Necklace, Topshop
Navy leather backpack, (my sister's) Primark
Gold hummingbird midi ring, c/o Jana Reinhardt
Rings, ASOS
Lips, MAC in Lady Danger

I'm back to my countryside roots for the next couple of weeks, for Christmas in North Yorkshire. I really love this time of year and it is so great to be reunited with all my friends and family!
I was lucky enough to receive this PU leather dress from In love with Fashion through my letterbox this week! As a huge fan of leather and a profound lover of the colour black, I'm excited to be wearing this dress. If you don't already own a leather dress.. wait why not? I feel the style is so versatile and could so easily be dressed up or grunged down: the definition of a wardrobe essential. I've styled the dress with my beloved monochrome kimono (it makes me feel like an Olsen), which should be featured a lot more on my blog considering the number of times it graces my arms.
Incase you haven't noticed, I've become obsessed with layering lots of rings on my fingers lately… I actually feel a little bare without a piece of jewellery on each finger. My newest addition to my vast growing collection of rings is this adorable ring from Jana Reinhardt. I ordered in a small size to make mine a midi ring but it also fits comfortably on my pinky. So cute!

Forest Green

Chunky cut out boots, c/o Chicwish
Cat ear ring, c/o Chicwish
Angel wing ring, c/o Chicwish
Moustache watch, c/o Chicwish
Velvet scrunchie, River Island
Nails, Barry M Indigo base coat and Barry M Amythst top coat

Forest green has to be one of my favourite shades of the winter season. This coat has a relaxed longline blazer feel and its so easy to throw over an all black outfit to keep me cosy! My outfit choices lately have barely left the colour palette that is: just black. I don't know what it is, but there is something very chic about making an all black outfit interesting.
Deadlines at uni are over and I'm working all week before heading back up North for Christmas with my family. I'm really excited for the festive period this year.. I can see this caged dress making a few appearances!
PS is it socially acceptable to wear a scrunchie yet?

I really was not planning on buying another coat this season, but when I came across this tapestry coat on eBay, it was in my basket and being delivered at my door before I had chance to second guess. But, I'm really happy with it. Yes, its definitely a statement piece but I can see myself pairing this beauty with many a monochrome outfit. Like this velvet swing dress for example, which I've layered over a simple white blouse. I'm really liking New Look day dresses at the moment, such fab prices for lovely pieces!
I've had a pretty exciting few days after attending the British Fashion Awards and attending the ASOS Christmas party this week. I kinda feel like all this excitement has come at a bad time as this week also happens to be my university deadline and I'm crazy stressed right now. I literally can't wait for this week to be over so I can be carefree again!
