Postcards From Shoreditch

Pink coat, c/o Warehouse
Mint cable jumper, c/o Warehouse
Jacquard jeans, c/o Warehouse
Ponyskin leather bag, c/o Warehouse

This week I was lucky enough to shoot with Warehouse for their online campaign, Postcards from Shoreditch, earlier in the week. I have been very impressed with their new ranges and decided to style my look around this season's hottest trend, the pink coat. When I first heard about this trend, I didn't think it would be something I would confirm to, but I seriously couldn't resist this powder pink beauty! I paired the coat with a chunky knit mint jumper as I'm loving winter pastels together and a pair of black jacquard jeans. I really like how the photos have turned out and it was amazing to shoot in Shoreditch with Warehouse, who I've been a fan of for so many years.

October Florals

Denim jacket, Vintage
Cross necklace, Primark
Black strap watch, The Watch Hut
Rings, Topshop/Vintage

Floral prints are continuing to sneak their way into my wardrobe at this time of year. I've wanted this side split midi skirt since seeing it on a girl in the street a few months ago and I got luckily when spotting it in the Topshop sale at half price (!) last week. A very 'typical Monica outfit' admittedly, but I really like the side split detail of the skirt as well as being a big fan of the midi length. Perfect for a warm Autumn afternoon for a wander through another of my favourite spots in the city: Regents Park.
Time is flying far to quick for my liking at the moment and I'm already about halfway through my term at uni. I've got some exciting collaborations coming up in the near future - stay tuned.

Metallica

White boucle coat, Forever 21
Cross belt, Primark
Tapestry bag, Vintage
Gold bangle, Primark
Rings, Primark/Vintage
Nails, Topshop in Green Room

The last photo is purely for lols. It was pouring with rain in Hyde Park when snapping my outfit a couple of days ago - hence the messy damp hair. But I did manage to find a little bit of shelter under trees by the autumn leaves (no rhyme intended). Working at Oasis means discovering little gems like this metallic leather skirt I found in the sale a few weeks ago. The skirt is something I wore to LFW as I really love the a-line shape and the unusual shiny shade. I've been searching for a grey cropped jumper for a good while now to wear over skirt/dresses in the winter and this salt and pepper one fits the bill perfectly! Such a bargain at £12 and super cosy!

AW13 Wishlist

*This post is sponsored by Bonprix.co.uk

I thought I'd share a few items I'm lusting over this season. AW is a great excuse to get a whole new wardrobe and I'm terrible for doing just that. This time of the year (almost) everything last season seems just that - so last season. I'm loving refreshing pastel coats like this beauty from Romwe, a steal at only £32! Autumn is also an excuse for new shoes and having worn my trusty H&M boots to death (see every outfit post since March), I'm looking for a new pair to carry me through to the springtime. Having seen an extremely well-dressed girl trying on these patent loafers in New Look, I've decided I need some. Admittedly, although they're not very 'my style' I think I could just about pull them off with black jeans and an oversized coat! I'm also a sucker for paisley print and these colourful booties could work well as my new AW staple boot. They're from Bonprix.co.uk which is a fab site meeting all my fashion needs. Jewellery wise, I'm into anything gold and simple this time of the year and these gold ASOS rings and this chunky gold necklace will add a little something extra to any outfit.

Baroque and Roll

Pastel baroque dress, c/o Choies
Nude clutch bag, ASOS
Chunky heeled boots, H&M
Gold bracelet, Primark

Something about the vibrant colours and floral print had me at hello with this dress.. The collar and style gives it a very '60s feel, a trend I'm continuing to love through to AW. I'm really excited about the leaves falling from the trees this season as autumn remains my favourite time of the year and I have lots of autumn outfits planned to showcase on my blog in the next few weeks. I'm currently at home in Whitby but will be heading back down south at the weekend to work and start my second year at university.
